About the Opportunity We are actively seeking a highly motivated Hospitalist Medicine Physician to join our team on a locum tenens basis. You will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive care to hospitalized patients at our facility, serving the needs of the surrounding communities in East Texas. What You’ll Do Conduct thorough patient evaluations and assessments. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, collaborating with nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals. Perform necessary procedures as needed, ensuring patient safety and well-being. Order and interpret diagnostic tests to make accurate diagnoses and inform treatment decisions. Manage patient medications effectively, monitoring for potential interactions and side effects. Document medical records accurately and comprehensively, ensuring clear and concise communication for all healthcare team members. Communicate clearly and collaboratively with patients, families, and the healthcare team, fostering trust and understanding. Participate in rounds and discussions, providing valuable clinical expertise and contributing to patient care decisions. Who You Are Board certified in Internal Medicine (ABIM) or Family Medicine (FM). Active Texas medical license is mandatory. A minimum of 2 years of experience in Hospital Medicine is preferred. You possess strong clinical skills and experience managing a diverse range of medical conditions in a hospital setting. Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills are essential for effective teamwork and patient interaction. You demonstrate the ability to work independently and as part of a cohesive team, adapting to a fast-paced environment. A commitment to patient-centered care and a passion for making a positive impact on patient outcomes are highly valued.
