Locum Tenens Radiation Oncologist Needed near Harrisburg, PA (j-227604) Are you a motivated and experienced Radiation Oncologist seeking a long-term locum tenens opportunity to contribute to exceptional patient care in a dynamic outpatient setting? We’re seeking a qualified physician to join our team and provide comprehensive radiation oncology services during a vacancy. What You’ll Do: Develop and implement personalized radiation therapy treatment plans for a variety of cancer patients in a well-equipped outpatient center near Harrisburg, PA. Consult with referring physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to create a holistic treatment approach for each patient. Utilize advanced radiation therapy techniques and technologies to deliver precise and effective treatment with minimal side effects. Educate and support patients throughout their treatment journey, addressing their questions and concerns with compassion and clarity. Oversee the quality and accuracy of radiation therapy delivery by a team of therapists. Maintain meticulous documentation within the Epic electronic medical record system. This long-term assignment offers flexibility to start as soon as possible and can extend until February 28, 2025. Qualifications: Active medical license in the state of Pennsylvania (PA only). Board-certified in Radiation Oncology (fellowship preferred). Current BLS certification. Minimum credentialing time possible (temporary privileges may be available). Strong clinical skills and a comprehensive knowledge base in Radiation Oncology, with expertise in treatment planning and delivery. Experience using advanced radiation therapy techniques is a plus. Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills. Ability to educate and provide emotional support to patients navigating a cancer diagnosis. Additional Information: Start Date: ASAP – Ongoing (assignment ends February 28, 2025) Coverage includes major holidays (New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, etc.) with a no-call schedule.
