Locum Tenens Nurse Practitioner – Family Practice (Near Ilwaco, WA) Are you a dedicated Family Nurse Practitioner seeking a dynamic locum tenens opportunity in a coastal community near Ilwaco, WA? We’re looking for a qualified and experienced NP to join our team and provide high-quality care to a diverse patient population in a fast-paced outpatient setting. This is a locum tenens position with a start date as soon as credentialing is complete, offering a 3-month contract with the possibility to extend. What We Offer: Schedule: Full-time Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (40 hours/week) with an unpaid lunch break. Saturday hours are optional for additional pay at an overtime rate. Patient Care: Be prepared to see up to 18 patients daily, potentially more depending on cancellations. We require a comfortable and experienced provider in a high-volume, fast-paced environment, working with all ages from newborns to geriatrics. Supportive Team: Each NP benefits from a dedicated medical assistant, with access to receptionists, mental health therapists, dietitians, and on-site pediatricians (in most clinics). A local healthcare administrator will handle your timecards. Diverse Patient Population: We serve a thriving coastal community with a significant migrant and refugee population. Interpretive services are available on-site. Fluency in Spanish is a plus, but not required. Practice Environment: You’ll provide outpatient ambulatory services including family medicine, walk-in/acute care, and chronic disease management. Technology: We utilize the EPIC electronic medical record system for efficient patient care. Procedures: You will perform common procedures like injections, IUD placement, and minor wound care. Qualifications: Board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) required Active WA license required Active WA DEA license required Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an FNP with recent face-to-face patient contact within the past year Clean background check and no malpractice history Experience with the EPIC electronic medical record system is mandatory BLS, ACLS, or other relevant certifications preferred (details discussed during credentialing) Ability to integrate quickly with a 1-week orientation and begin seeing patients by day 3 Experience working with vulnerable populations and a passion for serving underserved communities are highly valued Additional Information: This coastal location offers a unique work-life balance with access to beautiful beaches and outdoor activities.
