Locum Tenens: Emergency Medicine Physician (Near Woodlawn, TN) Are you an experienced Emergency Medicine Physician seeking a rewarding locum tenens opportunity in a vibrant community near Woodlawn, TN? We are looking for a dedicated physician to join our esteemed practice and provide high-quality emergency care. This is a locum tenens position starting as soon as credentialing is complete, offering an ongoing contract with the potential for extension. What We Offer: Schedule: Full-time coverage needed, including days, nights, and weekends Flexible shifts: 6a-6p, 11a-11p, 6p-6a Preference for candidates open to working at both the main hospital and affiliated free-standing emergency departments (FSEDs) Patient Care: Handle an annual volume of 36,000 patient visits Work in a 15-bed emergency department Provide comprehensive emergency medical services to a diverse patient population Supportive Team: 36 hours of physician coverage daily 24 hours of Advanced Practice Provider (APP) coverage daily Collaborative work environment with experienced emergency medical staff State-of-the-Art Facilities: Modern emergency department equipped with advanced medical technology Efficient patient management systems and protocols Utilization of electronic medical records (EMR) for streamlined patient care Travel & Compensation: Competitive compensation package with comprehensive benefits Travel expenses covered, including flight, rental car/mileage, and lodging Malpractice insurance provided Qualifications: Board Certification: Required in Emergency Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM) State License: Active Tennessee medical license required Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ experience in emergency medicine Recent face-to-face patient contact within the past year Skills: Proficiency in emergency procedures and trauma care Strong clinical and decision-making skills Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Additional Information: This location offers a unique work-life balance with access to beautiful landscapes, cultural attractions, and outdoor activities.
