Locum Tenens Opportunity: General Medicine Nurse Practitioner Near McGregor, ND We are seeking experienced General Medicine Nurse Practitioners for a rewarding locum tenens opportunity near McGregor, ND. This position is ideal for NPs looking to perform Compensation & Pension (C&P) exams and Separation Health Assessments for veterans on an as-needed basis. Position Details Profession: Nurse Practitioner Specialty: General Medicine Start Date: ASAP End Date: Ongoing Provider Type: Locum Tenens Coverage Type: PRN (as needed basis) Shift Type: Days Default Rate Type: Daily Job ID: j-229519 Work Schedule Shift Description: PRN – as needed basis Coverage Options: Travel and perform exams at leased facilities Schedule veterans within your own practice Shift Length: Half days (4 hours) Full days (8 hours) Job Responsibilities Examinations: One-time, non-treatment C&P exams Separation health assessments Exam Components: Primarily interview-based with some physical assessments (range of motion testing, muscle strength testing) No prescribing or treatment involved Documentation: Quick credentialing and onboarding process Use of Goniometer required Complete and submit Reporting/Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) within 48 hours of exam completion Evaluations completed in the provider portal Record reviews required in most cases Follow-up administrative work required regularly (addendums, medical opinions, reading diagnostics) Requirements Certification: Certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) License: Active license in North Dakota Skills and Experience: Familiar with musculoskeletal, diabetes, and cardiovascular conditions Proficient in METs testing, and evaluating respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions Must have own personal laptop (NO MACs) Ability to obtain DMA certification (can earn CME credits) Why Apply?
