Locum Tenens Emergency Medicine Physician Needed in Thriving Oklahoma Community (j-231629) Are you a board-certified emergency medicine physician seeking a dynamic locum tenens opportunity in a growing community near Agra, Oklahoma? We’re actively searching for a skilled and experienced physician to join our team and provide exceptional care to patients experiencing a variety of medical emergencies. What this Opportunity Offers: Diverse Patient Population: Treat patients of all ages, from pediatrics to geriatrics, in a busy acute care hospital setting. Flexible Scheduling Options: Craft a schedule that works for you with a variety of day, swing, night, and weekend shifts available. Nights and weekends are in highest demand, but the opportunity to pick up additional shifts exists. Standard shifts are eight hours (7:00 PM – 3:00 AM). Block scheduling options are not available. Long-Term Potential: Build a rewarding locum tenens career with a contract length ranging from 6 to 12 months. Seamless Technology: Leverage your familiarity with Epic, the EMR system used at the facility. Key Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive emergency care to patients experiencing a variety of medical emergencies, injuries, and sudden illnesses. Conduct thorough evaluations, develop treatment plans, and order necessary diagnostics. Perform essential procedures as needed within your scope of practice. Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to optimize patient care. Admit patients for further evaluation or treatment when necessary. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records within the Epic EMR system. Qualifications for Success: Board certification in Emergency Medicine by the American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM) or the American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine (AOBEM) is mandatory. Alternative board certifications are not accepted. Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS to demonstrate your commitment to patient safety. Valid Oklahoma medical license to practice medicine without restrictions. Current DEA registration is required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients, families, and colleagues. The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and make quick decisions.
