About the Opportunity: Immediate Need: Fill a critical staffing gap and provide essential care for vulnerable newborns. Flexible Scheduling: Choose between 12-hour or 24-hour in-person shifts with predictable call coverage (full shift coverage eliminates the need for separate call responsibilities). Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive care for critically ill neonates in the NICU, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and management. Collaborate with neonatologists, nurses, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Perform procedures such as endotracheal intubation, umbilical line placement, and ventilator management. Communicate effectively with patients’ families and provide ongoing support and education. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in neonatal care. Qualifications: National Certification Corporation (NCC) certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with a specialty in Neonatology (general NP/PA certification not accepted). Valid Pennsylvania state license (temporary privileges available). Minimum two years of experience in a Level III NICU setting. Extensive experience in providing comprehensive care for critically ill neonates. Strong clinical skills, sound medical judgment, and a commitment to patient-centered care. Excellent communication, collaboration, and teamwork abilities. Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Schedule Details: Flexible scheduling options: 12-hour shifts (7:00 am – 7:00 pm) with full in-house coverage for the entire shift. 24-hour shifts (7:00 am – 7:00 am next day) with full in-house coverage for the entire shift. Predictable call coverage – full shift coverage eliminates the need for separate call responsibilities. Facility Details: Inpatient Level III NICU setting.
