Locum Tenens Hematologist-Oncologist Needed in Wisconsin (j-231764) Are you a board-certified hematologist-oncologist seeking a fulfilling locum tenens opportunity in a growing community near Boyd, Wisconsin? We have an urgent need for a skilled and experienced physician to join our team and provide exceptional care to patients battling cancer and blood disorders. What this opportunity offers: Long-Term Impact: Make a lasting impact with an ASAP start date and ongoing availability. Work-Life Balance: Maintain a healthy balance with scheduled clinical hours Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, plus call coverage on a 1:3-4 schedule. Diverse Patient Population: Broaden your experience by caring for both inpatients and outpatients in a community-based setting. Seamless Collaboration: Leverage your expertise alongside two established MDs and three nurse practitioners (including two new graduates). Advanced Treatment Options: Collaborate with on-site radiation oncology services and utilize the Cancer Center’s 18 chemotherapy and 2 non-chemotherapy infusion chairs. Advanced Procedures: Perform bone marrow biopsies directly within the Cancer Center, enhancing patient care efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive care to patients with a variety of hematological and oncological conditions. Conduct consultations for both ambulatory and hospitalized patients. Participate in outreach programs to neighboring clinics (schedule to be determined). Collaborate effectively with fellow physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. Qualifications for Success: Board certification in Internal Medicine with a fellowship in Hematology and Oncology. Valid Wisconsin medical license to practice medicine without restrictions. Current certifications in ACLS and ATLS to demonstrate your commitment to patient safety. Experience performing bone marrow biopsies is highly preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients, families, and colleagues. The ability to thrive in both independent and collaborative work environments.
