What You’ll Do: Evaluate patients experiencing orthopedic trauma and other conditions, conducting comprehensive physical examinations and ordering necessary diagnostic tests. Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with physicians, ensuring optimal patient care. Assist surgeons in the operating room (as applicable). Manage patient care in the inpatient setting, including pain management, wound care, and monitoring progress. Provide patient education and counseling to empower patients in their recovery journey. (Future Potential): Conduct clinic visits, diagnose orthopedic conditions, and develop treatment plans for outpatients. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records. Who You Are: Active certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in Orthopedic Surgery or a closely related specialty. Current and active license to practice medicine in Texas (TX only). Strong clinical skills and experience in assessing and managing orthopedic conditions. Familiarity with orthopedic procedures (preferred but not required). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients, families, and colleagues. Proficient in EPIC electronic medical record system. Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care. Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks.
