Locum Tenens Physician Assistant Needed for Emergency Medicine near Fort Bragg, NC (j-235953) Seeking a Qualified and Experienced PA for Emergency Medicine Are you a dedicated Physician Assistant (PA) passionate about providing high-quality emergency care? We’re searching for a skilled and experienced provider to join our team in a growing community near Fort Bragg, NC. This temporary opportunity offers a flexible start date as soon as possible (ASAP) and extends until the end of October (October 31st, 2024). Responsibilities: Deliver comprehensive emergency care to a diverse patient population in a fast-paced environment, including both adults and pediatrics (depending on your experience). Conduct thorough patient histories, perform physical examinations, diagnose illnesses and injuries, and develop effective treatment plans. Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and perform emergency procedures as needed. Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records within the Meditech 6.1 electronic medical record system. Qualifications: Active and unrestricted North Carolina (NC) license as a Physician Assistant. Current certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), and Basic Life Support (BLS) are mandatory. Experience in a hospital emergency medicine setting is preferred. Excellent clinical judgment, decision-making skills, and strong clinical foundation in emergency medicine. Effective communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and healthcare teams in high-stress situations. Commitment to providing compassionate and high-quality patient care in a dynamic emergency room setting. Additional Requirements: Must be fully vaccinated against preventable diseases. Must be credentialed with NC Medicaid/Medicare and enrolled with PECOS as a provider. Must have a valid DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) registration with a North Carolina address.
