Locum Tenens Emergency Medicine Physician Needed in Thriving Texas Community (j-231959) Are you a board-certified emergency medicine physician seeking a dynamic locum tenens opportunity in a growing Texas community near Hermleigh? We’re actively searching for a skilled and experienced physician to join our team and provide exceptional care to patients in a Level IV Trauma Center. What this opportunity offers: Dynamic Emergency Medicine Environment: Contribute your expertise to a busy emergency department receiving approximately 13,800 annual visits. Work within a diverse team of physicians and collaborate with specialists readily available for consultation. The department is equipped with dedicated fast-track beds to streamline care for less emergent patients. Flexible Locum Tenens Schedule: Enjoy a flexible schedule with a variety of 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) to fit your availability. Specific needs include coverage during the following periods: August 10th – 18th (AM shifts), August 25th – 31st (PM shifts), and August 27th – 31st (AM shifts). Focus on Patient Care: Utilize your skills to assess, diagnose, and treat patients experiencing acute medical conditions, injuries, and sudden illness. Your focus will be on providing high-quality, compassionate care during a critical time. Collaborate with the fast-track physician to ensure efficient care delivery across the emergency department. Comprehensive Support System: Benefit from 24-hour access to radiology services (CT, MRI, X-Ray), laboratory testing, surgical services (CT, Neuro, Vascular), and anesthesia. The department maintains a certified blood bank and offers both clinical and anatomical pathology services. Qualifications for Success: Board certification in Emergency Medicine by the American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM) is required. Valid Texas medical license to practice medicine without restrictions. Current certifications in ATLS, ACLS, and PALS to demonstrate your commitment to patient safety. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients, families, and colleagues. The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and make quick decisions. Experience collaborating effectively within a team environment is a plus.
