Locum Tenens General Anesthesiologist Needed near Caroleen, NC (j-235788) Seeking Qualified and Compassionate Anesthesiologists for Locum Tenens Roles Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a passion for patient care? We have an exciting locum tenens opportunity for two General Anesthesiologists to join our team in a growing community near Caroleen, NC. This temporary opportunity offers a flexible start date as soon as possible (ASAP) and will continue until we can fill the positions permanently. Responsibilities: Deliver safe and effective anesthesia care for a variety of surgical procedures in a collaborative care team model. Provide pre-operative consultations, assessments, and plan anesthesia care for assigned patients. Collaborate effectively with surgeons, Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs), and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Monitor patients throughout surgery and adjust anesthesia plans as needed. Oversee and support the work of CRNAs within the established care team model. May choose to personally manage assigned surgical cases if desired. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records within the Cerner and AIMS electronic medical record systems. Qualifications: Active and unrestricted North Carolina (NC) medical license. Board-eligible or board-certified in Anesthesiology is required. Experience in a hospital setting providing general anesthesia care is preferred, but new graduates will be considered. Excellent clinical judgment, decision-making skills, and technical expertise in anesthesia administration. Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills to work effectively within a team environment. Commitment to providing compassionate and high-quality patient care. Schedule: The typical schedule consists of a 7-days-on/7-days-off rotation with 7 am to 5 pm shifts followed by call coverage from 5 pm to 7 am. You will rotate this schedule with one other physician. Support Staff: You will be collaborating with an average of 2-3 CRNAs Monday through Friday.
