Locum Tenens Internal Medicine – Cardiology Physician Needed near Santa Claus, IN (j-227571) Are you a motivated and experienced Internal Medicine physician with a Cardiology fellowship seeking a rewarding locum tenens opportunity to provide exceptional patient care in a dynamic outpatient setting? We’re seeking a qualified physician to join our team and ensure high-quality cardiology services for a growing community near Santa Claus, Indiana. What You’ll Do: See approximately 20-25 patients per day, providing comprehensive outpatient cardiology care for adults. Conduct patient consultations, order diagnostic tests, diagnose cardiac conditions, develop treatment plans, and manage medications. Perform procedures as permitted by your scope of practice, such as EKGs, echocardiograms, and stress tests. Deliver preventive cardiology services and educate patients on heart health. Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care for patients. Maintain meticulous documentation within the Epic electronic medical record system. Qualifications: Active medical license in the state of Indiana (IN) or eligible for licensure through the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC). Board-certified or board-eligible in Internal Medicine with a completed Cardiology fellowship (required). Current ACLS and BLS certifications. Minimum of 7-14 days for credentialing (may require licensure in both IN and IL). Strong clinical skills and a comprehensive knowledge base in Internal Medicine and Cardiology. Experience in performing common cardiology procedures a plus. Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage a moderate patient volume. Additional Information: Start Date: ASAP – Ongoing Coverage includes major holidays (New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, etc.) with no call responsibilities. Temporary privileges are not available at this facility. The proposed schedule includes a mix of hospital clinic days, satellite clinic visits, and some travel between locations.
