Locum Tenens Emergency Medicine Physician (Near Lacoochee, FL) Are you a dedicated Emergency Medicine Physician seeking a rewarding locum tenens opportunity in a growing community near Lacoochee, FL? We’re looking for a skilled and experienced physician to join our team and provide high-quality care to patients experiencing acute medical emergencies. This is a locum tenens position with a 3-month contract (with the possibility to extend) and offers a dynamic work environment. What We Offer: Community Focus: Practice medicine in a thriving community while providing high-quality emergency care. We see approximately 9,500 patients annually. Modern Facilities: Our Emergency Department features 18 well-equipped beds, including 4 dedicated beds for behavioral health patients, ensuring optimal care for all who walk through our doors. Streamlined Technology: Utilize the efficient Meditech P-doc EMR system for streamlined patient documentation and M-Modal Dictation software for efficient charting. Supportive Work Environment: Collaborate with a team of dedicated healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care. Qualifications: Board-certified/eligible in Emergency Medicine (MD or DO) and Emergency Medicine residency training required (ABEM or AOBEM) Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with patients and families in stressful situations Expertise in the evaluation and management of acute medical emergencies, including critical care scenarios Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment with sound judgment and decision-making skills Clean background check and no malpractice history Additional Information: This location offers a unique opportunity to practice medicine in a growing community near Lacoochee, FL.
