This exciting position offers the chance to make a significant impact while focusing solely on patient care, with no call requirements: No Call Responsibilities: Maintain a predictable work-life balance with no call requirements, allowing you to focus on delivering exceptional care during your scheduled shifts. Flexible Shift Options: Choose from two 8-hour shift options per day, typically ranging from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Diverse Patient Population: Manage a dynamic patient census, which may vary depending on the location. At most Freestanding Emergency Departments (FSEDs), you can expect to see approximately 2 patients per hour, while busier main sites may have a more variable volume. Supportive Team Environment: Work alongside a team of healthcare professionals, including Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) and residents, ensuring comprehensive patient care is delivered at all times. Temporary Commitment: This locum tenens position offers a flexible assignment, with an anticipated duration of 1-2 years, providing you with the opportunity to contribute your skills on a temporary basis. Board Certification or Eligible: Must be either board-certified in Emergency Medicine or eligible for board certification after successful completion of an accredited residency program. Experience for Family Medicine/Internal Medicine: For Family Medicine (FM) or Internal Medicine (IM) physicians seeking Emergency Medicine opportunities, a minimum of 3 years of experience is required (for FSEDs only). Procedural Expertise: Demonstrate proficiency in a variety of essential emergency medicine procedures, including central line placement, arterial line placement, lumbar puncture, endotracheal intubation, cardiac pacing, and orthopedic stabilization.
