Why You’ll Thrive in This Opportunity: Immediate Impact and Collaborative Care:Address a critical need for emergency medicine coverage, treating a high volume of patients (over 45,000 annually) with a wide range of medical conditions, alongside a friendly and supportive nursing staff. Our collaborative team includes hospitalists to ensure seamless care coordination for admitted patients. Focus on Patient-Centered Care in a Modern Facility:Provide essential care in a recently renovated ED equipped with Cerner electronic medical records for efficient documentation. Our 28-bed facility caters to a diverse patient population, including dedicated bariatric and private rooms for patient comfort. Predictable Schedule and Streamlined Workflow:Enjoy a predictable work schedule with clear coverage parameters: 36 hours of physician coverage and 40 hours of advanced practice provider (APP) coverage per week. This allows you to focus on patient care while minimizing administrative burdens. Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including history taking, physical examinations, and diagnostic testing for patients presenting to the emergency department. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for a variety of acute medical conditions in adults and seniors. Perform essential stabilization procedures as needed. Collaborate effectively with nurses, advanced practice providers, and hospitalists to ensure seamless patient care. Document patient care accurately and efficiently within the Cerner electronic medical records system. Qualifications for Success: Current board certification in emergency medicine (ABEM or AOBEM) is preferred. Board certification in family medicine or internal medicine with a minimum of two years of emergency medicine experience may also be considered. Valid and active state medical license is required. Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills are crucial. The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment is essential.
