Locum Tenens: Emergency Medicine Physician Needed (Near Lithia, FL) Are you a dedicated and experienced Emergency Medicine Physician seeking a rewarding locum tenens opportunity in a growing community near Lithia, FL? We’re actively searching for a skilled physician to join our team and provide vital emergency care at our brand-new, state-of-the-art freestanding emergency department (ASAP – Ongoing). This locum tenens position offers a temporary assignment with the potential to extend for up to three months. You’ll have the opportunity to contribute significantly to exceptional patient care in a dynamic environment while managing your workload effectively. Focus on Patient Care: Our 10-bed private exam rooms provide a comfortable and efficient environment for patient assessments and treatment. Diverse Patient Volume: Contribute to an estimated 11,000 annual patient visits across a broad spectrum of emergencies in the first year. Advanced Diagnostic Capabilities: Utilize on-site diagnostic imaging equipment, including CT Scanner, Ultrasound, and X-Ray, for accurate and timely diagnoses. Streamlined Credentialing Process (for qualified candidates): We understand the importance of timely care and will work diligently to facilitate temporary privileges for qualified applicants with a clean history. Supportive Team Collaboration: Partner with other physicians, nurses, technicians, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care for patients in critical situations. Qualifications: Board-certified or board-eligible in Emergency Medicine is mandatory. Current certifications in ATLS, PALS, and ACLS are essential for patient safety and critical interventions. Active medical license in Florida (FL) only is required. Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in an emergency department setting is preferred. The ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating sound judgment and critical thinking skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
