Locum Tenens Family Medicine/Pediatrics Physician Needed ASAP (Near Oakdale, TN) (j-233253) Are you a board-certified family medicine or pediatric physician seeking a rewarding locum tenens opportunity in a supportive environment near Oakdale, Tennessee? We are actively searching for a skilled and dedicated physician to join our team and provide call coverage for a specific scheduling need. This short-term locum tenens position offers the chance to make a significant impact while maintaining schedule flexibility. Why You’ll Thrive Here: Immediate Start Date: Begin your assignment as soon as possible and provide vital support to our patients during a short staffing period (July 5th – July 14th, 2024). Focused Call Coverage: Contribute your expertise by responding to call needs and providing timely consultations and care plans for inpatients with a variety of medical conditions. Supportive Team Environment: Collaborate with a dedicated team of nurses and other healthcare professionals focused on providing high-quality patient care. Modern Electronic Medical Records: Utilize the MEDHOST electronic medical records system to ensure efficient documentation and communication. Streamlined Credentialing Process: With a streamlined credentialing process taking approximately 5 days, you can begin your assignment quickly. What You’ll Do: Respond to call needs and provide timely consultations and management plans for inpatients with a variety of medical conditions, encompassing both adult and pediatric patients. Collaborate with referring physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care for patients. Review patient charts, order diagnostic tests as needed, and recommend appropriate treatment plans. Conduct bedside examinations and procedures as needed to ensure patient well-being. Document all patient interactions and treatment decisions thoroughly and efficiently within the MEDHOST electronic medical records system. Participate in hospital-wide initiatives and quality improvement projects to enhance patient care within the inpatient department (time permitting). Who You Are: Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree with a current and active license to practice medicine in Tennessee (only). Board-certified in either Family Medicine or Pediatrics by the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM) or the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP) (required). Current BLS certification (required). A commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care to inpatients of all ages within a hospital setting. Excellent communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team. The ability to manage a fast-paced call environment while maintaining a high level of clinical judgment and decision-making.
