Locum Tenens Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Needed near Trinidad, CA (j-227570) Are you a motivated and experienced Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) seeking a rewarding locum tenens opportunity to provide primary care services in a dynamic outpatient setting? We’re seeking a qualified clinician to join our team and ensure high-quality care for adult and pediatric patients in a growing community near Trinidad, CA. What You’ll Do: See approximately 18 patients per day, providing comprehensive primary care services for adults and children (mixed patient panel). Conduct patient consultations, order diagnostic tests, diagnose illnesses, develop treatment plans, and manage medications. Perform procedures as permitted by your scope of practice. Deliver preventive care services such as immunizations and health screenings. Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care. Maintain meticulous documentation within the Epic electronic medical record system, ensuring chart closure within 72 hours. Foster a positive and professional work environment. Benefits: Competitive compensation package for locum tenens FNPs and PAs. Scheduled clinical hours only (Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM), with no call responsibilities. Qualifications: Active medical license in the state of California (CA only). Board-certified FNP or board-certified PA in Family Medicine (preferred). We will also consider board-eligible candidates within five years of residency completion. Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) license is also accepted. Current BLS certification (minimum). Minimum of 7-14 days for credentialing. Strong clinical skills and a comprehensive knowledge base in primary care for adults and pediatrics. Experience in chronic pain management a plus. Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage a high patient volume. Active DEA license required before start date. Detailed CV with month and date on all work experiences, accounting for any gaps in employment. Additional Information: Start Date: ASAP – Ongoing (assignment ends November 12, 2024) Coverage includes major holidays (New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, etc.) with no call responsibilities.
