This locum tenens position offers the potential for ongoing coverage as we conduct a permanent search, allowing you to establish connections with patients and colleagues. Focus on Outpatient Care: This position focuses exclusively on outpatient care, providing personalized treatment plans and consultations for a manageable patient load of 6-8 patients per day. Predictable Schedule with Call: This locum tenens position combines scheduled clinical hours (Monday-Friday, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm) with manageable call requirements (averaging 1-2 patients per day on weekends). This predictable schedule allows you to maintain a healthy work-life balance while remaining available for patient support. Supportive Work Environment: You’ll join a collaborative team and work closely with experienced infusion center nurses. We offer a supportive environment with a focus on professional growth and teamwork. Modern Facility and Technology: Our well-equipped outpatient center utilizes the Epic EMR system. While temporary privileges are not currently available, we will work with qualified candidates to facilitate the credentialing process. Key Qualifications: Licensed to practice medicine in the United States (specific state license not required) Board-certified in hematology and oncology (or eligible) Current certification in BLS Experience using Epic EMR system (preferred) Additional Information: Admissions and rounding are not required for this outpatient-focused position. We are seeking candidates who can relocate or are within driving distance. Patient Population: You will have the opportunity to care for a diverse patient population, including patients with newly diagnosed hematologic and oncologic conditions, as well as those requiring ongoing treatment management. The clinic sees patients with both acute and chronic conditions, including acute leukemia and malignant hematologic disorders. While new patient admissions are handled by hospitalists, you will be consulted for these patients and may see them at the hospital or initiate transfers if needed.
