Locum Tenens Opportunity: Internal Medicine – Hematology and Oncology Physician Near Arrey, NM We are currently seeking a dedicated Hematology and Oncology Physician for locum tenens coverage near Arrey, NM. Calls generally involve: Questions from RNs about patients Patients undergoing chemotherapy Minimal consults from the Emergency Department Patient and Staff Details: Patients per Shift: Up to 17 Support Staff: 1 Medical Assistant Several Registered Nurses (RNs) Pharmacy support for educational starts for chemotherapy Additional Facilities: Co-located with radiation oncology Job Requirements: Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology and Oncology License: Must have an active state license in New Mexico Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required Experience: Fellowship preferred, but not mandatory Facility and Practice Details: Reason for Coverage: Vacancy – Long-Term Permanent Search Privileges Required: Yes, hospital/surgery center privileges required Admissions Required: No Hospital Stroke Certification: Yes Maximum Patients per Shift: 17 Rounding: Both inpatient and outpatient rounding not required This locum tenens position provides an excellent opportunity to work in a well-equipped outpatient setting, delivering high-quality care to oncology patients.
