Flexible Schedule with Dedicated Time: Maintain a structured schedule with standard daytime hours (Monday-Thursday, 7:45 am – 4:30 pm) for full-time or bi-weekly coverage. Fridays offer flexibility for administrative tasks and additional patient contact hours as needed. Supportive Work Environment: Work alongside a team of dedicated healthcare professionals, including medical assistants, nurses, and a pharmacist, in a collaborative setting. You’ll benefit from Cerner, the electronic medical records system used at the facility. Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive consultations and physical examinations for adult patients with a variety of hematologic and oncologic conditions. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with patients and the healthcare team. Manage and monitor treatment side effects and adjust plans as needed. Order and interpret diagnostic tests to guide treatment decisions. Provide ongoing patient education and support to empower patients in their fight against cancer. Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, pharmacists, and referring physicians, to ensure seamless patient care. Document patient care accurately and efficiently within the Cerner electronic medical records system. Qualifications for Success: Current board certification in Hematology/Oncology (BC/BE) is mandatory. Valid and active medical license in the state of Arizona or a willingness to obtain an Interstate Medical License Compact (IMLC) is required. We are not seeking willingness to relocate or obtain additional licensure at this time. Current certifications in DEA are mandatory. Additional certification in ACLS is preferred. Experience using Cerner, the electronic medical records system used at the facility, is preferred. Experience in a general medical oncology practice setting with at least 3 years of experience is required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients, families, and staff. The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment is crucial.
