Hospitalist Medicine Advanced Practice Provider (Locum Tenens) – Near Summitville, TN (ASAP – Ongoing) Are you a motivated and experienced Advanced Practice Provider (APP) seeking a locum tenens opportunity to make a difference in a thriving Tennessee community near Summitville? About the Opportunity We are actively seeking a highly motivated Hospitalist Medicine APP to join our team on a locum tenens basis. You will play a vital role in supporting our healthcare team and delivering comprehensive care to hospitalized patients at our facility. This is a critical locum tenens need, requiring the support of 2 additional APPs to manage the anticipated patient volume. What You’ll Do Conduct comprehensive patient assessments under the supervision of a physician. Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the healthcare team. Order and interpret diagnostic tests to facilitate accurate diagnoses. Prescribe medications and manage patient care plans effectively. Provide patient education and counseling. Document medical records accurately and comprehensively. Communicate clearly and collaboratively with patients, families, and the healthcare team. Participate in rounds and discussions, contributing valuable clinical expertise to patient care decisions. Who You Are Master’s degree in a relevant field such as Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) is required. Current Tennessee licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant is mandatory. A minimum of 2 years of experience in Hospital Medicine or a related specialty is preferred. You possess strong clinical skills and experience managing a diverse range of medical conditions in a hospital setting. Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills are essential for effective teamwork and patient interaction. You demonstrate the ability to work independently and as part of a cohesive team, adapting to a fast-paced environment. A commitment to patient-centered care and a passion for making a positive impact on patient outcomes are highly valued.
