Locum Tenens Cardiologist Needed in Growing Pennsylvania Community (j-234467) Are you a board-certified cardiologist seeking a locum tenens opportunity to provide high-quality care to patients in a growing community near Vandergrift, PA? We have an immediate need for a qualified physician to provide scheduled clinical coverage from September 9th to September 13th. This temporary, locum tenens position offers a predictable schedule and the chance to make a real impact on patient care. Why You Should Consider This Opportunity: Immediate Need and Short-Term Coverage: We require a qualified cardiologist to start as soon as possible for a short-term, one-week coverage period. This locum tenens position provides a great opportunity to experience our dynamic healthcare system without a long-term commitment. Focus on Scheduled Hours: This locum tenens position focuses on scheduled clinical hours, Monday through Friday from 8 am to 4 pm. This predictable schedule allows you to maintain a healthy work-life balance. Diverse Patient Population: You’ll have the opportunity to care for a diverse outpatient and inpatient adult population (age 17 and over). You’ll utilize your expertise in general cardiology, read echocardiograms, and contribute to the care plans of approximately 40 patients per day (25 follow-ups and 15 consultations). Supportive Work Environment: We are a well-respected healthcare provider committed to fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment. You’ll work alongside at least three physician assistants who are available from Monday through Friday during business hours. Key Qualifications: Licensed to practice medicine in Pennsylvania Board-certified in internal medicine with a cardiology subspecialty (or eligible) Fellowship in cardiology preferred Active Pennsylvania DEA license ACLS certification BLS certification Experience using Epic EMR system Additional Information: Temporary privileges are available for qualified candidates who require hospital credentialing. While admissions are not required for this role, you will be expected to participate in rounding for both inpatients and outpatients.
