Locum Tenens Movement Disorders Neurologist Needed: Serve a Growing Community (j-232157) Are you a board-certified neurologist with a passion for movement disorders seeking a dynamic locum tenens opportunity in a thriving community near Oak Harbor, Washington? We’re actively searching for a skilled and experienced physician to join our established outpatient clinic and provide exceptional care to patients with movement disorders. Focus on Movement Disorders: Utilize your expertise in a clinic dedicated to treating Parkinson’s disease, tremors, ataxia, dystonia, and other specific movement disorders. Flexible Schedule Options: Craft a schedule that works for you with coverage available for standard clinical hours only. No call is required. Major holidays are observed, including New Year’s Day, Independence Day, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. Seamless Technology: Leverage your familiarity with Epic, the EMR system used at the clinic. Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive outpatient consultations and evaluations for patients with movement disorders. Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on the latest advancements in movement disorder management. Perform necessary diagnostic procedures within your scope of practice. Collaborate effectively with other healthcare providers to optimize patient care. Manage patient education and support to empower informed decision-making. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records within the Epic EMR system. Qualifications for Success: Board certification in Neurology is mandatory. Fellowship training in Movement Disorders is preferred. Experience diagnosing and treating a wide range of movement disorders is essential. Valid medical license in Washington state or eligibility for licensure through the Interstate Medical License Compact (IMLC). Current BLS certification to demonstrate your commitment to patient safety. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients, families, and colleagues. The ability to provide compassionate care and support to patients facing chronic conditions. Experience with Botox administration is a plus, but not required.
