Locum Tenens General Medicine Nurse Practitioner Needed (Near Three Rivers, CA) – ASAP – Ongoing (Job ID: j-233543) Are you a certified Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AANP) seeking a rewarding locum tenens opportunity to support Veterans in a meaningful way near Three Rivers, California? We are actively searching for dedicated General Medicine Nurse Practitioners to conduct Compensation & Pension (C&P) exams and Separation Health Assessments (SHAs) for Veterans across the country. This locum tenens position offers a PRN (as-needed) schedule, allowing you to tailor your work hours to your availability. What You’ll Do: Conduct comprehensive C&P exams and SHAs for Veterans, primarily focusing on an interview-based approach with some physical assessments (range of motion, muscle strength testing). Analyze medical records and complete standardized forms within the VES provider portal. Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure accurate assessments and timely reporting. Complete follow-up administrative tasks such as addendums, medical opinions, and diagnostic reviews as required. Who You Are: Active certification as an Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AANP) (required). Current and active license to practice medicine in California (required). Familiarity with musculoskeletal, diabetes, and cardiovascular conditions (required). Proficient in METs testing, evaluating, and diagnosing respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions. Comfort and experience with interview-based assessments (preferred). Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with Veterans. Access to a personal laptop (excluding MACs).
