Locum Tenens Cardiology NP/PA Needed ASAP – Ongoing (Near Oak Harbor, WA) (j-233259) Are you a dedicated cardiology Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) seeking a rewarding locum tenens opportunity in a dynamic healthcare setting near Oak Harbor, Washington? Focus on Inpatient Cardiology: Dedicate your expertise to caring for adult cardiology patients within a dedicated inpatient setting, collaborating with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans. Supportive Team Environment: Work alongside a dedicated team of cardiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals focused on providing comprehensive and compassionate care to patients with various heart conditions. Advanced Technology: Utilize the Epic electronic medical records system to ensure efficient documentation and communication. Predictable Schedule with Flexibility: Enjoy a full-time schedule with Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts as the primary option. However, the ability to work flexible 10-hour shifts (up to 4 per week) is essential to accommodate program needs. Weekends are excluded from scheduled work hours. What You’ll Do: Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations for adult inpatients with a variety of cardiology conditions. Collaborate with cardiologists to develop and implement individualized treatment plans, considering the unique needs of each patient. Manage complex cardiology cases, including pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing structural heart procedures. Order and interpret diagnostic tests, monitor patient responses to treatment, and adjust care plans as needed. Provide ongoing patient education and support regarding cardiology conditions, treatment options, and recovery plans. Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure efficient and coordinated care delivery for cardiology patients. Document all patient interactions, assessments, treatment plans, and interventions thoroughly and efficiently within the Epic electronic medical records system. Who You Are: Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree for Nurse Practitioners or Master’s degree in Physician Assisting (PA) with a focus on cardiology (required). Current and active license to practice in Washington state or possess an Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) for out-of-state licensure. National certification in Cardiology by a recognized organization (e.g., AANP, NCCPA) (required). Current ACLS certification (required). A commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care to adult cardiology patients in a collaborative team environment. Excellent communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills to work effectively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team. Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills to manage complex cardiology conditions.
