Locum Tenens Nurse Practitioner – Pediatrics (Near Glenoma, WA) Are you a passionate Pediatric Nurse Practitioner seeking a rewarding locum tenens opportunity in a rural community near Glenoma, WA? We’re looking for a qualified and experienced NP to join our team and provide compassionate care to children in a fast-paced outpatient setting. This is a locum tenens position with a start date as soon as credentialing is complete, offering a 3-month contract with the possibility to extend. What We Offer: Schedule: Full-time Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (40 hours/week) with an unpaid lunch break. Optional Saturday hours available for additional compensation. Patient Care: Be prepared to see up to 18 pediatric patients daily, with the potential for more depending on cancellations. We require a comfortable and experienced provider in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. Supportive Team: Each NP benefits from a dedicated medical assistant, with access to receptionists, mental health therapists, dietitians, and on-site pediatricians (in most clinics). A local healthcare administrator will handle your timecards. Diverse Patient Population: We serve a thriving rural community with a significant migrant and refugee population. Interpretive services are available on-site. Fluency in Spanish is a plus, but not required. Technology: We utilize the EPIC electronic medical record system for efficient patient care. Procedures: You will perform common pediatric procedures like well-child visits and immunizations. Travel & Compensation: We offer a competitive compensation package with comprehensive benefits (details provided during the interview) and may cover your travel expenses (flight, rental car/mileage, and lodging) depending on circumstances. Qualifications: Board certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) required Active WA license required Active WA DEA license required Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a PNP with recent patient care experience Clean background check and no malpractice history Experience with the EPIC electronic medical record system is mandatory BLS, PALS, or other relevant certifications preferred (details discussed during credentialing) Ability to integrate quickly with a 1-week orientation and begin seeing patients by day 3 Experience working with vulnerable populations and a passion for serving rural communities are highly valued Additional Information: This rural setting offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of children and families in a close-knit community.
