Locum Tenens Orthopaedic Surgeon Needed near Fort Bragg, NC (j-234830) Are you a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon seeking a locum tenens opportunity to provide comprehensive inpatient care to a dynamic community near Fort Bragg, NC? We are actively searching for a qualified physician to join our team and offer surgical expertise for a variety of orthopaedic conditions. This temporary, locum tenens position focuses on call coverage, allowing you to contribute your skills on an as-needed basis while enjoying a comfortable work environment. Why You Should Consider This Opportunity: Focus on Call Coverage with Flexible Schedule: This position focuses solely on call coverage, providing you with the flexibility to manage your time when you’re not actively needed. You can expect a manageable call volume with an average of 0-3 consultations, 0-2 emergency department visits, and 0-2 surgeries per day. Supportive Work Environment: You’ll collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals in a well-equipped facility utilizing the MediTech 6.1 EMR system. We offer temporary privileges to facilitate onboarding and comfortable, on-site housing for the duration of your assignment. Supplemental Income Opportunity: Earn competitive compensation for your call coverage hours, with additional gratis time factored in. Key Qualifications: Licensed to practice medicine in North Carolina (active license and DEA registration required) Board-certified in orthopaedic surgery Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and ATLS Experience using MediTech 6.1 EMR system (preferred) Schedule and Patient Load: Schedule: Call coverage only (details regarding call frequency to be discussed) Patient Load: Variable; expect an average of: 0-3 consultations per day 0-2 visits to the emergency department for closed reductions and admissions 0-2 surgeries per day (primarily wrist, ankle, and hip fractures, and incision and drainage procedures) Additional Information: Admissions are required for this call-focused role. Long bone trauma cases will be stabilized and transferred to a higher level of care.
