Locum Tenens Physician Assistant (PA) Needed for Emergency Medicine near Fort Bragg, NC (j-227611) Are you a motivated and experienced Physician Assistant (PA) seeking a locum tenens opportunity to contribute to exceptional patient care in a dynamic healthcare setting? We’re seeking a qualified PA to join our team and provide high-quality emergency care during a period of increased staffing needs in a growing community near Fort Bragg, NC. What You’ll Do: Provide solo emergency room coverage for scheduled 12-hour shifts, assessing and treating a variety of medical emergencies in a well-equipped emergency department. Conduct thorough patient evaluations, order appropriate diagnostic tests, develop effective treatment plans, and assist physicians with procedures as needed. Collaborate effectively with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and efficient patient care. Maintain clear and concise documentation within the Meditech 6.1 electronic medical record system. Foster a positive and professional work environment while providing exceptional care to patients. Qualifications: Active medical license in the state of North Carolina (NC only). Physician Assistant (PA) certification. Minimum of two years of Emergency Medicine experience. Current ABLS, ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications. Minimum credentialing time possible (temporary privileges may be available). Strong clinical skills and a comprehensive knowledge base in Emergency Medicine, with experience in providing rapid assessment, diagnosis, and treatment in a fast-paced environment. Experience in a solo coverage setting is a plus. Mandatory: NC Medicaid/Medicare credentialed and enrolled in PECOS. Mandatory: DEA registration with a North Carolina address. Additional Information: Start Date: ASAP – Ongoing (assignment ends September 30th, 2024). Coverage includes major holidays (New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, etc.) with a no-call schedule. You will not be responsible for inpatient care, as the facility has a separate intensivist and mid-level provider team managing the 22-bed ICU. Ready to Make a Difference?
