Locum Tenens Pain Medicine Physician Needed near Spring Hill, KS (j-227614) Are you a motivated and experienced Pain Medicine physician seeking a locum tenens opportunity to contribute to exceptional patient care in a dynamic healthcare setting? We’re seeking a qualified physician to join our team and provide comprehensive pain management services during a period of staffing needs in a growing community near Spring Hill, KS. What You’ll Do: Manage a diverse patient population in both outpatient and inpatient settings, providing consultations, diagnostic evaluations, and treatment plans for a variety of chronic pain conditions. Utilize a variety of interventional pain management techniques, including injections, nerve blocks, and spinal cord stimulation, to improve patients’ quality of life. Collaborate effectively with referring physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalized treatment plans for each patient. Manage inpatients with acute and chronic pain conditions, working closely with the hospital care team to ensure coordinated care. Participate in daily rounding and patient care discussions, contributing your expertise to optimize pain management strategies. Integrate seamlessly with the Epic electronic medical record system to document patient encounters, procedures, and treatment plans. We are seeking to fill an ongoing need with additional coverage required from September 21st to 24th, 2024. Qualifications: Active medical license in good standing (no state restrictions mentioned). Board-certified in Pain Medicine (fellowship preferred but not required). Current BLS certification. Experience managing a variety of chronic pain conditions in both outpatient and inpatient settings is a plus. Strong clinical skills and a comprehensive knowledge base in Pain Medicine, with expertise in interventional pain management techniques. Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients, families, and healthcare teams. Ability to work efficiently under pressure, prioritize effectively, and make critical decisions in time-sensitive situations. Additional Information: Start Date: ASAP – Ongoing (flexible scheduling available). Coverage includes major holidays (New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, etc.) with a combination of scheduled clinic hours and call responsibilities.
