Flexible Schedule: Craft a work-life balance with a variety of day, night, and weekend shifts available. Minimum commitment of four shifts per month, with most needs on nights and weekends. Standard shifts are eight hours (7:00 AM – 5:00 PM). Block scheduling is not available. This long-term opportunity (6+ months) allows you to build a rewarding locum tenens career. Seamless Technology: Leverage your familiarity with Epic, the EMR system used across all facilities. Key Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive emergency care to patients experiencing a wide range of medical emergencies, injuries, and sudden illnesses. Conduct thorough evaluations, develop treatment plans, and order necessary diagnostics. Perform essential procedures as needed within your scope of practice. Collaborate effectively with healthcare teams at various hospitals to optimize patient care. Admit patients for further evaluation or treatment when necessary. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records within the Epic EMR system. Qualifications for Success: Board certification in Emergency Medicine by the American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM) or the American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine (AOBEM) is mandatory. Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS demonstrate your commitment to patient safety. Valid Ohio medical license to practice medicine without restrictions. (Confirmation needed on whether the Interstate Medical License Compact (IMLC) is accepted). Current DEA registration is required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients, families, and colleagues. The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and make quick decisions. Hospital Network: Each hospital within the network offers a unique environment with varying patient volumes and admission rates. All hospitals utilize Epic as their EMR system.
