Locum Tenens Radiologist Needed near McGregor, ND (j-227636) Are you a motivated and experienced Radiologist seeking a locum tenens opportunity to contribute to exceptional patient care in a dynamic rural hospital setting? We’re seeking a qualified physician to join our team and provide comprehensive radiology services on a long-term basis near McGregor, ND. What You’ll Do: Perform a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures, including diagnostic mammograms, breast biopsies, barium enemas, small bowel follow-throughs, upper GI studies, and fluoroscopy-guided procedures like epidural steroid injections and abscess drainage. Interpret a high volume of imaging studies, including X-rays, CT scans, and ultrasounds, for a diverse patient population. Collaborate effectively with referring physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and timely treatment plans for patients. Utilize the Meditech electronic medical record system to document findings and communicate results with referring providers. Assist with Medicare overreads to ensure accurate coding and reimbursement for imaging services. Qualifications: Active medical license in good standing in the state of North Dakota (ND only). Board-certified in Radiology. Experience performing and interpreting a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures, including those listed above. Willingness to learn additional procedures such as breast cyst aspirations and stereotactic breast biopsies. Strong clinical skills and a comprehensive knowledge base in radiology. Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills to build rapport with referring physicians, nurses, and patients. Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a healthcare team. Additional Information: Start Date: ASAP – Ongoing (long-term commitment preferred). Schedule includes two on-site workweeks per month, with no call responsibilities. You can expect to perform a high volume of imaging procedures, serving a 25-bed hospital with an average daily census of 12.7 patients.
