Key Responsibilities: Respond promptly to on-call situations, providing timely consultations and interventions for adult patients with facial trauma and other surgical needs. Perform a variety of plastic surgery procedures, including facial laceration repairs, scar revisions, skin grafts, flaps, facial reconstruction for facial fractures, and all trauma-related oral surgery cases. Collaborate effectively with the on-call team, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care during on-call periods. Document patient care accurately and efficiently within the facility’s electronic medical records system. Qualifications for Success: Current board certification by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery is mandatory. Valid and active medical license in the state of Michigan (or willingness to obtain one) is required. Experience performing a variety of plastic surgery procedures, including facial laceration repairs, scar revisions, skin grafts, flaps, facial reconstruction for facial fractures, and all trauma-related oral surgery cases is essential. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients, colleagues, and staff. The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment is crucial. Ability to remain calm and make critical decisions in fast-paced, acute care situations.
