Locum Tenens Vascular Surgeon Needed: Urgent Call Coverage Opportunity in Texas (j-232160) Are you a board-certified vascular surgeon seeking an urgent locum tenens opportunity to provide essential call coverage in a thriving community near Pilot Point, Texas? What this Urgent Opportunity Offers: Immediate Need:We require immediate coverage due to an unexpected vacancy. This is your chance to step in and make a significant contribution. Short-Term Commitment: Help bridge the gap by providing call coverage from July 1st to July 15th, 2024. This temporary role allows you to contribute your expertise while maintaining your schedule flexibility. Major holidays are observed, including New Year’s Day, Independence Day, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. Seamless Technology: Leverage your familiarity with Cerner, the EMR system used at the facility. Supportive Environment: Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals dedicated to patient care. Key Responsibilities: Be available by phone to address the needs of patients requiring vascular care after regular clinic hours and on weekends. Evaluate the need for in-person evaluation or intervention through effective phone triage. Provide timely and appropriate telephone consultations or arrange for patients to be seen in person if necessary. Work collaboratively with the on-site healthcare team to ensure optimal patient care. Manage patient admissions as needed (temporary privileges available). Maintain accurate and detailed medical records within the Cerner EMR system (credentialing permitting). Qualifications for Success (Required Documents to Upload in Bid): Current board certification in Vascular Surgery is mandatory. Valid medical license in the state of Texas to practice medicine without restrictions. Current certification in ACLS to demonstrate your commitment to patient safety. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and colleagues. The ability to make sound clinical decisions under time pressure is essential. Local Baptist privileges are a plus, but not mandatory. A clean background check and Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration. Curriculum vitae (CV) outlining your experience and qualifications. Copies of your medical license, Certificate of Insurance (COI), and driver’s license. Documentation of the past 24 months of your case logs to showcase your experience.
