We are actively searching for two highly skilled and dedicated surgeons to join our team and provide call coverage for a long-term need. This locum tenens position offers the flexibility of a call schedule while allowing you to participate in both inpatient and outpatient vascular surgery cases. What You’ll Do: Respond to call needs and provide timely consultations and surgical interventions for inpatients with a variety of vascular conditions. Collaborate with referring physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans for both inpatients and outpatients. Review patient charts, order diagnostic tests as needed, and recommend appropriate treatment courses. Perform minimally invasive and open vascular surgery procedures as indicated for patient care. Document all patient interactions, procedures, and treatment decisions thoroughly and efficiently within the Epic electronic records system. Participate in hospital-wide initiatives and quality improvement projects to enhance patient care within the vascular surgery department (time permitting). Who You Are: Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree with a current and active license to practice medicine in California (only). Board-certified in Vascular Surgery by the American Board of Surgery (ABS) (required). Current BLS and ACLS certifications (required). A commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care to patients with vascular conditions in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Excellent communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team. The ability to manage a fast-paced call environment while maintaining a high level of clinical judgment and decision-making.
