Attend deliveries and participate in resuscitation efforts to ensure a smooth transition for newborns requiring specialized care. Utilize advanced assessment and diagnostic skills to develop and implement individualized care plans. Collaborate effectively with a team of nurses, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver optimal patient outcomes. Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in neonatal care and participate in quality improvement initiatives. Our NICU Environment: 15-bed Level III NICU with the capacity to expand to 22 beds as needed. Average daily census of 12 neonates. Utilizes Epic electronic medical record system. Provides comprehensive respiratory support, including invasive (INO) and oscillator ventilation. Offers access to a wide range of pediatric subspecialists through phone consultations with a university system. Dedicated pediatric cardiology and ophthalmology services are readily available. Qualifications: Master’s degree in Neonatal Nurse Practitioner program. Active Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) certification. NYS licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN). Minimum two years of experience in a Level III NICU setting. Strong clinical skills, a patient-centered approach, and excellent communication abilities.
