What You’ll Do Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations and assessments in both emergency and convenient care settings. Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with varying acuity levels. Perform a wide range of bedside clinical procedures, ensuring patient safety and well-being. Interpret diagnostic tests such as EKGs, x-rays, and lab results to inform treatment decisions. Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver optimal patient care. Provide patient education and counseling to promote health and wellness. Document medical records accurately and thoroughly using the EPIC EMR system with Dragon for clear communication among all healthcare providers involved. Who You Are Nurse Practitioner (NP): Active Illinois license as both a Registered Nurse (RN) and Advanced Practice Nurse (APN). Board certification in Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine. Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), or post-master’s certificate with a Nurse Practitioner specialization. Physician Assistant (PA): Active Illinois license as a Physician Assistant (PA). Physician Assistant certified in Medicine. Board certification preferred. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and advanced life support certifications relevant to your practice area (ACLS, PALS) are highly valued.
