Job Overview

(Only QUALIFIED Healthcare Professionals accepted) Hospital/Clinic – CEO/CFO/COO/Exec – Seeking a dynamic and seasoned healthcare executive to serve as Chief Operating Officer (COO) for Pulmonary Medicine Associates (PMA), one of the largest Pulmonary Critical Care groups in the United States. This position is accountable for operational, financial, quality, and employee engagement outcomes in a manner consistent with the organizations mission, vision, and goals. The COO will ensure optimal efficiencies and market positioning to provide excellent patient care to the communities served by PMA.

Candidate Qualifications
A BS|BA in Business, Health Administration, or related field required. Masters Degree with relevant experience preferred.
CMPE designation preferred.
Minimum 10 years of related executive healthcare leadership experience, with demonstrated business and financial performance, strongly preferred.
Strong organizational, financial, analytical, and negotiation skills required.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills required.
Strong computer skills (Word and Excel) required.

Incorporated in 1973, PMA is one of the largest Pulmonary Critical Care groups in the United States. As the population of the Sacramento area grew, and as medicine became more specialized, PMA expanded their specialized pulmonary services to other specialties. PMA providers offer a broad spectrum of specialized services often found only in an academic setting. The scope of services includes Critical Care, Infectious Disease, Neurocritical Care, Palliative Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, Sleep Medicine, Travel Medicine and Wound Care. This highly respected group delivers superior quality care through evidence-based clinical standards and innovative technologies. Their providers care for some of the most complicated and critically ill patients, both in the hospital and in the clinic environment. PMA programs are tailored to the individual needs of their client hospitals to help them meet their clinical and financial objectives.

PMA provides inpatient services at 9 area hospitals and has outpatient clinical offices in Sacramento and Roseville. The group also provides eICU coverage to 10 area hospitals. In February 2021, PMA opened a free-standing sleep lab with 5 beds.
