Do you have a CCS or RHIT or RHIA or RN and 3 years experience in an acute care facility? If so, I have a great opportunity located near Houston, TX at a TOP 100 Hospital for you!

Improve the overall quality and completeness of clinical documentation on a concurrent basis through daily review of open records and interaction with physicians, health information management coding staff, case managers, and nursing staff. Coach and educate physicians, coders, case managers, and nurses in order to improve capture of clinical severity for the level of service rendered to all patients, especially those services with a DRG based reimbursement (e.g. Medicare, Medicaid). Identify process improvement opportunities and support the timely and accurate capture of measurements to improve patient care, as well as physician and hospital outcomes.

RHIA, RHIT, or RN with hospital coding experience preferred (including those grandfathered) with significant clinical documentation knowledge and experience. Requires excellent observation skills, analytical thinking, problem solving, plus good verbal and written communication. Able to assess, evaluate, and teach. Flexible with a working knowledge of all areas of medicine.
