Job description:
Requires:
Prior management/supervisory experience in a related field (Coding/HIM).
RHIT or RHIA preferred
Strong knowledge of: Coding, HIM, Revenue Cycle, and HIM Technology.
Knowledge of ICD-10
Advanced computer skills; ICD-9 Coding/Reimbursement expertise; leadership skills to implement ICD-10; supervisory & organizational skills; demonstrated interpersonal communication capabilities to interact with other personnel, including physicians. Bachelor’s Degree in field of Health Information Management preferred.
Directs the medical records and coding activities for accurate reimbursement; coordinates all functions and daily operations of the department; supervises the HIM staff. Reports to the CFO.
