The department is undergoing major growth initiatives. Therefore, we are seeking an individual with prior pediatric management experience in a psychology department. The Director will focus on mentorship and staff development. We are looking for the individual to develop a psych track for the hospital as well as a number of other new programs. Must have experience working with medically fragile children with severe injuries and disabilities. This is an outpatient leadership position.

The purpose of the position is to ensure that psychological services are provided to the inpatients and outpatients of the Hospital and clinic, including appropriate psychological evaluations and treatment; to ensure provision of consultation, counseling and education to families as needed; and to provide consultation and training to staff concerning the emotional, cognitive and behavioral development of infants, children and adolescents. The position also includes supervision of all behavioral health clinicians in the Psychology Dept. and program development where needed. The candidate will have at least 5 years post-doctoral experience and the ability to function in a transdisciplinary setting.

Required Education
Doctoral degree in Psychology from an APA approved graduate program and a pre or postdoctoral internship.
Licensed by the DC Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs and or the Maryland Department of Health Licensing Board. Licensure by the state licensing agencies in surrounding states may be required by financial reimbursement agencies in those states. The hospital will provide credentialing for the individual.
