Job Overview

(Physician/MD qualifications required) I am recruiting for a General Surgeon with a fellowship in Breast Surgery to join one other General Surgeon in a booming suburb of east Dallas. He shares call with 2 other surgeons, so call would be 1 in 4 once you joined. You will become a partner after 1 yr, with this physician earning in the $450k range. You would be doing 50/50 Breast/General surgery eventually building to a 100% Breast Surgery practice. The hospital has opened a brand new women’s health center within the last year. This is a very good opportunity for a breast surgeon to establish a practice in a community located in one of the fastest growing counties in the United States. You have all the amenities of living in a suburb of a major metro, without this market being saturated with too many surgeons. You would be the first fellowshipped trained breast surgeon in their service area. The hospital is located 25 miles of downtown Dallas. Their primary draw area population is 400,000. The hospital is on the shores of a lake with a beautiful view of the lake from the 2nd and 3rd floors of the hospital. The lake is large and has many recreational activities to include water skiing, sailing, fishing and many other types of water sports. Multiple real estate options are available including many waterfront homes. Many new shops, restaurants and condominiums are being built in this area including The Harbor, a new $56 million shopping complex on the east shore of the lake. The Dallas area has done very well economically in spite of the recent economic downturn suffered in the last few years. Texas as a state has weathered this storm very very well as compared to most states in the U.S. This is an opportunity to move to and practice in a major metro where the economy is good, cost of living (housing) is reasonable, and plenty of opportunity to grow your surgery practice.
