(Only QUALIFIED Healthcare Professionals accepted) Medical Technologist – Histology – Full-time Histotechnologist needed at a top healthcare system serving New York and Pennsylvania!
New position in the lab performing pre-analytical specimen processing on surgical tissue! Scope of responsibility may include maintenance of equipment, embedding tissue in proper size base mold, appropriately leveling tissue in blocks, preparing tissue slides of uniform thickness without compressions, folds, or chatter marks, and covering slips slides without air bubbles. Must demonstrate ability to keep accurate records, to include specimen identification through all steps of processing and specimen registration via the hospital and laboratory information system. Maintain knowledge of histology special stains and immunohistochemical stains.
* Seeking candidates with a BS degree that included 24 credits in science, and a valid NY State Laboratory License.
* Must have experience in histology, specimen handling, tissue processing and special stains.
Salary will be commensurate with experience and will include full medical and 401K benefits.
