The hospital is a thriving, not- for-profit health care organization. The need for hospitalists in this community is significant. The hospital services a metropolitan population of over 2,500,000. The hospitals in-patient specialties include; cardiac care with telemetry service, complex medical care, including hemodialysis, geriatrics, neurology, stroke and brain injury, oncology/chemotherapy, orthopedics, post-surgical care, post-organ transplant care, pulmonary care, and ventilator weaning.. There are two openings available at this time joining eleven other Hospitalists. The pay is highly competitive for Boston with only a one in eight weekend call and no mid-week night call as residents handle that call schedule. The patient referral base is from academic actue care medical centers and requires physicians with knowledge of the latest in clinical management. There is a robust clinical support structure that includes skilled nurses and nurse practitioners.
