There is an immediate need for Facility Coders. This is a Medical Coding Position dealing with inpatient and outpatient coding.
Located in Northern MI
Required Education: RHIA, RHIT, and/or CCS or equivalent. CPC With Hospital coding experience will be considered
Required Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience as a coder in a hospital setting with CPT and ICD-9 coding experience.
Abilities and Knowledge:
Knowledge of software such as Cerner software and optum encoder, Microsoft word, Excel, or other similar word processing.
Proficient in the use of ICD-9-CM, CPT-4, and Optum encoder.
Knowledge of E/M coding.
Analyzes hospital charts for any deficiencies.
Enters all diagnosis and procedure codes on to the Cerner AccessHIM solution and optum Encoder.
