Job Overview
(Physician/MD qualifications required) Internal Medicine – CONNECTICUT – Hospital employed Urgent Care Network of six urgent Care in Southern, CT seeks an Urgent Care physician. Due to the nature of the job, Urgent Care shift work, one can live in Connecticut or New York City, and make an easy commute by rail to the various office locations to work your shift. 159 shifts per year, 3 shifts of 12 hours per week, M-F, or if one works one of their 3 shifts on Sat or Sunday, 8am-5pm. You would know your schedule a month in advance. With their current physician staff, one can select from multiple shift options, and if one wanted to, would most likely be able to opt out of any weekend shifts. Not always, but most of the time. You would see about 30-35 patients per day. These are the patients with minor health care concerns. Any patients with more serious issues would be referred to their outpatient clinic or ER.
