Currently looking to hire someone who has managed an organizations quality system operation within the medical device world. Seeking someone who has working knowledge and application of CLIA regulations as it applies to infectious disease testing. Must be a certified Medical Technologist. Specialist in blood banking is preferred. Must have experience managing people.

Job Summary:
Responsible for the full scope of quality issues and operational performance related to compliance and quality, specifically ensuring compliance with the medical device regulations and CLIA regulations as they apply to infectious disease testing. Accountable for strategic quality planning and the development and implementation of continuous improvements activities, corrective and preventive action programs and standardization initiatives. Oversight of quality functions to include the review, assessment and monitoring activities for records, processes, and systems in support of the defined Quality System Requirements (QSR)|Quality Management System (QMS).

Qualifications Include:
– Bachelors degree in applicable field of study or equivalent related experience. MT(ASCP) preferred.
– Seven years of related experience, three of which must be in a drug or medical device firm.
– Five years of experience managing| supervising professional staff and quality assurance practices in a regulated environment.
– Knowledge of operations in a biologics, pharmaceutical, or medical device manufacturing environment.
– Knowledge of federal regulatory requirements and quality assurance practices|principles related to medical industry manufacturing operations.
– Demonstrated ability to analyze technical knowledge and apply judgment to ensure decisions are defensible from a scientific and regulatory perspective while being in the best possible interests of the larger organization.
