(Physician/MD qualifications required) Medical Director – Inpatient Medical Director on a 48 bed inpatient unit providing Mental Health and Co-occurring Addictions Care for older adolescents and adults
The Medical Director is the lead clinical authority and supervisor within the management team and for all clinical services provided throughout the unit. Director is responsible for the development and implementation of compassionate, cost-effective medical and psychiatric care within the unit.
Responsible for medical administration and supervision, creating and developing clinically sound, consumer-oriented services in collaboration with the Senior Leadership Team
Implement policies, procedures, medical staff training, budget management and interventions that promote a positive work and treatment culture. Responsible for measurable quality outcomes, regulatory compliance, medical staff hiring, orientation, scheduling and evaluations
Advanced level knowledge in psychiatry and in the application of clinical treatment modalities with population(s) served. Effective oral and written communication skills, executive management and supervisory expertise
Experience with clinical supervision and training. Skilled in interpreting and applying standards and regulations applicable to programs and services (e.g. Joint Commission, CMS, DPH, DMH, etc.), public speaking or teaching|training skills desired. Strong organizational and team-building skills, executive level fiscal and personnel management experience.
