provides administrative and operational oversight of the clinic, manages patient and provider relations, and performs all receptionist roles including all patient intake and check out.
interview patients, measure vital signs, document all information in patient charts, assist the providers in exam rooms, maintain logs, keep exam rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies and handle all patient relations.
Essential Job Functions and responsibilities:
Answering telephone calls, screening and forwarding calls. Scheduling and confirming appointments, meetings, and events. Welcoming and assisting visitors in a friendly and professional manner. Handling basic inquiries and sorting mail.
Work closely with the provider.
Process patient phone messages and meet their needs promptly (within 24 hours).
Manage and provide direction to patient education.
Maintain treatment areas and equipment according to our defined standards.
Clean and sterilize instruments and dispose of contaminated supplies.
Oversee all aspects of day-to-day operations of the clinic.
Follow-up phone calls and updating patient records.
Coordinate eligibility verification, collection of co-pays|outstanding patient balances, prior authorizations, medical charting|documentation of encounters and the claims submissions|reconciliation process.
Oversee the equipment management process to ensure that all clinical and non-clinical equipment is properly maintained and repaired as needed; ensure that all equipment-related activities are properly documented.
Oversee information technology (electronic medical records, billing systems, practice management systems).
Handle patient feedback, occasional social media posting.
Escort patients to exam rooms, interview patients, measure vital signs, document all information in patients charts, and prepare patients for the provider.
Assist providers in exam rooms; give instructions to patients as instructed by the providers.
Keep exam rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies, maintain instruments, prepare sterilization as required.
Track and report revenue and expense flow with precision.
Medical Assistant training preferred.
Previous administrative or clinical experience in a medical or integrative health practice.
Knowledge of medical products, services, standards, policies, and procedures.
Skill in operating phones, personal computers, software, and other IT systems.
Ability to pay close attention to detail and to ensure accuracy of reports and data.
